The Darkest Mind adaptation has roped in a second The Hunger Games alum.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gwendoline Christie is joining Amandla Stenberg in the dystopian movie, adapted from the YA novel of same name. Christie, known for her roles in Game of Thrones and Star Wars, played District 2’s Commander Lyme in Mockingjay: Part 2.
TDM follows Ruby Daly (Stenberg), a telekinitic teenager who escapes the Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She is on the run, desperate to find the only safe haven left for kids like her—East River—and joins a group of kids who have escaped their own camp.
The Darkest Minds series comprises of three novels and supporting novellas.
