Our Rue is on a roll! After being cast in the adaptation Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon, Amandla Stenberg will lead the adaptation of Alex Bracken’s YA dystopian story, The Darkest Minds.
Amandla will play Ruby Daly, a telekinitic teenager who escapes the Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She is on the run, desperate to find the only safe haven left for kids like her—East River—and joins a group of kids who have escaped their own camp.
The Darkest Minds series comprises of three novels and supporting novellas.
We’re very excited to see Amandla taking on these YA projects. Filming for Everything, Everything continues in full force and Amandla has been sharing snippets from the set.
