With Lionsgate’s recent acquisition of network Starz, CEO Jon Feltheimer talked to Variety about the deal, and discussed the possibility of extending both The Hunger Games and Twilight franchises.

“I would say that there’s no big franchise that any studio has that they’re not trying to look at prequels, sequels, spinoffs, some version of that,” said Feltheimer. “We think that there’s a great piece of IP with Hunger Games. It’s a great world.”

Yesterday, Variety also broke the news that the studio’s Divergent franchise, which has suffered from a fatigue and a mis-adaptation of the books, will wrap up as a TV movie.

Lionsgate has already expanded The Hunger Games into nation-wide exhibitions, theme parks in Dubai and US & China, and an upcoming stage show.
