mtvU announces first annual 'Fandom Awards'

MTV’s college network, mtvU, has announced its first annual “Fandom Awards,” solely catering to, of course, fandoms. Between ‘Breakout Fandom of the Year’ and ‘Best Fandom Forever’, we also have Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen‘s ship nominated in ‘Ship of the Year’.

• Sherlock/John Watson “Johnlock” (Sherlock)

• Damon/Elena “Delena” (The Vampire Diaries)

• Katniss Everdeen/Peeta Mellark “Everlark” (The Hunger Games)

This is kind of a tough one, but we can do it, Tributes!

Voting has begun today, except the ‘Best Fandom Forever’ category which will solely take place on Tumblr. ‘Fandom of the Year’ nominations are yet to be released which will include a bracket of 32 nominees in four genres.

The awards special will air on July 27 on MTV and mtvU at 8 PM.
